Artistic Identity and Musical Training
International blues guitarist, Ricardo Maranhão began his musical journey at the age of 9 and has built a career with over 1,000 live performances. His sound is original, with strong influences from both classic and contemporary blues.
Part of his musical training took place in the United States, including time in:
Nashville (TN) — country and bluegrass
Mississippi — birthplace of the blues
During this period, performed with international artists such as Shaun Murphy, backing vocalist for Eric Clapton.

Former member of the band Milk n’ Blues, Ricardo won the A Chance Music Festival alongside harmonica player Indiara Sfair, outperforming more than 130 artists. He also performed at international festivals such as the Sherbrooke Folk & Blues Festival, in Canada.
In 2020, Ricardo released his first solo album, Iwersen, featuring 12 original tracks, solidifying his artistic identity. That same year, performed at the Curitiba Blues Festival, on the stage of Pedreira Paulo Leminski.
